Jesus is the Revelation of Gods Dominion on this Earth

This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased;
listen to him.

If we dig down the message in today’s readings we see God revealing or introducing Jesus as his Son who came down from him and pleased with his mission. God is commanding to listen to Jesus his Son. We see Jesus did not manifest his full Glory to people but he manifested his glory to his close associates like Peter. Peter had come very closer to know who Jesus is. Peter Confesses him as the Son of God -Messiah. This was a very important declaration which cannot be made in human Wisdom but only through divine intervention. In another instance Peter says “where shall we go, you have the Words of eternal life.  Jesus was the example of God’s Love upon this Earth. He did not show his life  only in Words but in his deeds by dying on the Cross till he gave his last drop of blood and said it is finished, the fullness of God’s Love.

Jesus dominion is of love, when people of every nation, language, race , religion come under the spell of God’s love , Jesus will accomplish his dominion on this Earth. This love of God is of a Servant King. The transfiguration and Vision of Moses and Elijah is the foretaste of the Kingdom of God to Come on this earth and Peter did not understand this until Jesus resurrection. This revelation of God’s Kingdom through Jesus is like a light shining on every dark & sinful heart till it is dawned to the day light of Salvation.  Peter experiences this for a While at the transfiguration and was in third heaven and wanted to live there for ever but Jesus brings Peter in to reality of life and not instructs him  not to reveal the mystery to anyone till his resurrection. Peter could not understand this mystery fully until Pentecost and when the power from above came upon him through the power of the Holy Spirit , Peter proclaims Jesus as the Lord & Christ over  Israel  with Conviction of his heart, mind and soul.

This revelation of God through Jesus transfigures the heart of Peter and through Peter to the other disciples and to the Whole World. Many Christians are not able to proclaim Jesus because they have not transfigured their hearts in the message of Jesus.  God’s only invitation to his people is to Listen to his only Son Jesus who was, who is and who is to come. All Christians must accept this invitation of God through Christ and get transfigured through Jesus in their heart by listening to his words of eternal life and live in Spirit and truth for ever and ever. Jesus has told all people to Love God by listening to his Words in obedience and love our neighbours by applying those words in action.  Let us love God and our brothers and Sisters and live forever.
