God has blessed us to bless others

“Who, then, is the faithful and prudent servant,
whom the master has put in charge of his household
to distribute to them their food at the proper time?
Blessed is that servant whom his master on his arrival finds doing so.
Amen, I say to you, he will put him in charge of all his property.

In today’s readings, we see God’s blessings to his children and expects to pass on these blessings to others and generations to come.  God is the source of all blessings whether man believes it or not but very purpose of Mans existence is a blessing to one self and to others.  God has commissioned every human being with a specific task or blessing or talents and God wants man to master in those tasks and use those talents or blessings for others. When God blesses a person, he fills that person to the full and overflows the grace so that that grace may be used for others for the glory of God.

This Concept is very difficult to understand unless we are in full of love and faith in God. Man thinks the blessings are self-achieved and stores these good things for his future and miss uses these talents for selfish and evil desires. Every person is unique and has been given a specific task to achieve which no one else can achieve on his behalf. He is called to full fill this task and be a minister to others.  A person who recognises his call and responds to this call, reaps hundred-fold harvest and becomes a great blessing on this earth to others and forms a ministry of God’s love.  But if the same person responds to his call and stores the blessing for himself and boasts his blessings as his own efforts and miss uses them for evil and selfish desires, God terminates him and passes on his blessings to a prudent and humble person. Jesus wants to reach out to the Whole World through us but if we hold on the love of God to our self and do not pass on this love to others, we delay the second coming of Jesus on this Earth. We delay the Salvation to others and instead of becoming blessing we become a curse to others by blocking their blessing and salvation.   In today’s World, we see this kind of people in great quantity, a rat race to store and gather has been going on for years but no one takes anything at his death because he does not take these very blessings from the hands of God and takes the credit of himself.

The Word of God says these kinds of people cannot enjoy the presence of God and remain restless after their earthly death. For people who became blessing to others, God will inherit his property, to be in his presence for ever and ever.  Let us be a blessing to ourselves and to others. Let us store what we require for our need and not for greed. Some people live for themselves without harming others though they have many talents which can be used for others. This is again a very dangerous situation because they delay a good work in others’ lives and others live in darkness due to our unwillingness to help them and show them the love of God through our talents and blessings.
