Brothers and sisters:
You know the time;
it is the hour now for you to awake from sleep.
For our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed;
the night is advanced, the day is at hand.
Let us then throw off the works of darkness
and put on the armor of light;

We must stay awake all the time. Salvation is not guaranteed like we buy some life insurance or consumer products but is an activity lived every day , every hour of our life. I remember playing in childhood days, game called musical chair, we had to go round and round the chairs and when the music stop we had to grab a chair and sit, the person could get a chair was out of the game and the last person who got the chair was the winner.

Christian life is also like a musical chair game , if we think our luck or an angel will come to help us in time of our action or alertness, then it is a mistake. We must live our Salvation in fear and tremble of the Lord , the maker of the Heaven and Universe who lives in our heart 24/7 365 days. The presence of God , inspiration and guidence of the Holyspirit must be sought at every moment and decision of our life. If we think Lord understands , we are not commiting murder , it is just to cheer up, these thoughts are from the Evil. The Evil enters our life unknowingly through Culture and Society, he is like a Cockroach who sneaks through his moustache first then enters as whole without our Knowledge in the midst of our daily prayer life and Church life. St. Paul warns to the Church of Rome to be awake and not to indulge in Worldly and Evil influences but to be people of light to the World. He says ” For our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed; What Paul meant to say was when we met the Lord, the Salvation Work started in our body and Soul but now it has reached in our Spirit where we will experience the Lord in fullness of Spirit. Fullness of Spirit is fullness in Salvation.

When I first met the Lord I detested all my sins of my Body like addictions so on but the capital sins took some years to detest through the help of prayer , retreats ,Scripture and counselling . The journey is not over but has reached only to body and Soul. The Spirit journey was much in struggle from the beginning, the Holyspirit gives a gentle push to our Spirit during our God experience but later teaches our Spirit to do things like he does and expect us to do, not by force but through a gentle push. In the spirit journey faith in the Lord , hope of Salvation and day today relationship with Worship and reverence makes our Spirit active with the Spirit of God. The Scripture studies and Theology give the Knowledge to our mind but does not help the Spirit unless we reflect them and respond in faith and love.

Advent Season is a season to evaluate our Spiritual journey with our Lord. The three mysteries of faith must be reflected during the Advent : 1. Jesus Died for our Sins 2.Jesus Resurected from death by the Power of the Holyspirit 3. Jesus will come again in glory to reward us.

If we believe in these three mysteries of faith in body , mind and Spirit then we will be ready to receive him any time of our life. Let us be Spirit filled people and not mere ritualistic and Knowledge filled people who follow the Lord in format or for obligation. Salvation is a self response to God’s love, God has proposed us of his love by washing our feet first, it is our duty to respond to him with yes or no and have a relationship with him. If we embrace him we will be dining with him in Paradise . He is faithful and will to reward us ..Maranatha..Come Lord Jesus in our Heart and make us full in ur love.
