Reflections from Pope Francis Homily : Pope Francis calls us to realize our vocation as Christian just not in Baptism Certificate but a lived life as a Disciple of Christ. This Christian discipleship he explains in three dimensions of Christian Faith 1. Our Christian calling 2. Promise 3. Covenant
- Our Christian Calling : Just like Abraham , every Christian has been called to live a Christian life leaving their old life of attachment of this World , flesh, Evil and lead a life of faith in the one who has called us. Abraham never knew where he was leading in Human eyes but walked in eyes of faith.
- Promise : A calling is attached with a Promise of Fruitfulness and abundance in life. God promises every Christian a map to walk and shows him in the Map all he can get , if he walks as per the Map and reaches the destination , the Word of God and life in the Spirit literally lead him or her in to the journey of faith to reach the abundant life. Abraham was rejoicing from Heaven seeing Jesus and on this Earth which was the fulfillment of his promise of salvation which began in his journey of faith to Israel.
- Covenant : A promise is given always to keep it and not break it . A true Christian is faithful to walk in the the Word of God and light of the Spirit and reaches the life of fulfillment , the abundance of fullness of Christ and fullness of Salvation.
