Brothers and sisters:
If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above,
where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
Think of what is above, not of what is on earth.
For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God
Easter People are born again in Christ people, they do not depend on earthy things but of Christ. This is purely a gift of God for those believing in Jesus in all their day today routines in sincerity and truth. The people who have experienced the Lord can say ” This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad ,Christ, our paschal lamb, has been sacrificed;let us then feast with joy in the Lord. Alleluia, alleluia”.
This bubbling joy and peace is from with in and above which does not come from the earthly things like Food, Alcohol, Worldly Songs, Worldly Dance, Worldly Lifestyle. Worldly fellowship , Worldly Charity but from Service , love , faith Prayer, Repentance, Compassion ,loving Fellowship, giving and forgiveness. The people who have experienced the Resurrection of Jesus -Easter , the earthly life is so boring and depressive , they just can not live for a moment in absence of God.
When I renewed for the first time , my Parish priest used to say , you people from the Renewal can see Devil everywhere. It is a fact that we could see Devil everywhere in the World and see his movements , tricks, bondage’s, strongholds, hypocrisy, falsehood so on. How educated or rich or disciplined person he may be , we could see the Evil they were carrying in their life. It was sad to say even our Christian Brothers and Sisters and even our Priests who have not encountered the Lord personally in their life were carrying unforgiveness, sinfulness, gossip , money minded and a mean life which was not a Christian way of life. When we walk in the light of truth , we can see the Valleys of darkness around us very clearly and in detail.
On this Easter we must ask a question to ourselves , Am I a resurrected Christian or a Earthly Christian who is born in flesh to our earthly parents. Infant Baptism is not a proof and guarantee to Heaven , it initiates or teaches us to walk in faith with Jesus but knowing his ways and walking with him in faith which we need to do by ourselves. The traditional infant Baptism or any of the Sacraments do not save us from Sin unless we renew in Christ Personally and walk with him then only the sacraments become the channels of graces but if we bottleneck the gateway and do a spirituality or walk with God, whom we can not see, we surely are going to fall in to danger because we do not know with whom we are walking with , God or Devil. This is a dangerous situation in today’s World , the Devil is a deceiver who comes in a angel form and deceives us , we must be very careful in our dealings to uphold Christian values in all things we do but in love and forgiveness.
If we have not met Jesus personally in our life then it is a time for a Retreat , please choose a good renewal Retreat Center and do a Jesus Encounter Retreat or Life in the Spirit Retreat where Jesus will reveal to us just like he revealed to Mary Magdalene, Apostles, Thomas and call us to follow him. For all renewed Christians , Easter is a time to recollect our first calling and make a checklist whether we are walking with him step by step or we have lost his track and started wandering in our old earthly ways. It is a time to recommit our life to the Lord and wait for the Power from above the out pouring of the Holy spirit.
Wish you a meaningful and joyful day of Resurrection – Happy Easter. Let us expect some Angels to appear to us in faith to proclaim the resurrection of our Lord as a confirmation to our Faith. The Octave of Easter is not only on Easter Sunday but remains till Pentecost where Jesus rejoins the Holy Trinity and pours out the love of God the Holy spirit upon those who wait in expectation. Praise the Lord … Alleluia .. Jesus is Risen .. Let us rejoice..This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad.
